These courses were designed to meet industry needs after extensive industry consultation. Bond University's BIM courses were the first (and remain the only university courses) to be formally accredited by buildingSMART Australasia. They were recognised internationally with a special mention for leadership in openBIM in Education in the professional research category in the 2020 buildingSMART international awards.
